Overview
Soroptimist International of San Bernardino (SISB) is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through various programs and services. Our core focus is on empowering women and girls to achieve social and economic independence. We offer several signature programs and community service projects aimed at supporting women and girls in our local community.
Program Details
1. **WINGS (Women Inspire and Nurture Girls to Succeed)**: This program invites high school girls (ages 14-18) from the San Bernardino School District to participate in a half-day event focused on education, future careers, self-esteem building, and eating etiquette. The event includes a keynote speaker, a luncheon, and a full banquet-catered meal.
2. **Dream It, Be It Program**: This program provides career support for girls aged 14-18, featuring inspiring speakers, tours of medical centers, interactive panels of professionals, giveaways, and lunch.
3. **Live Your Dream Campaign**: This campaign aims to inspire women to live their dreams and encourages them to pass on their good fortune to others. The Live Your Dream Awards support women who are heads of households striving to better their lives through advanced education or vocational training.
4. **Music Award**: Partnering with a local middle school, this program awards a musical instrument to a deserving female student who meets certain criteria.
5. **High School Student College Scholarship Award**: In partnership with the San Bernardino High School Scholarship Program, this award supports outstanding female students who have been active in volunteer programs and maintained a high GPA.
