Overview

Soroptimist International of San Bernardino (SISB) is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through various programs and services. Our core focus is on empowering women and girls to achieve social and economic independence. We offer several signature programs and community service projects aimed at supporting women and girls in our local community.

 

Program Details

1. **WINGS (Women Inspire and Nurture Girls to Succeed)**: This program invites high school girls (ages 14-18) from the San Bernardino School District to participate in a half-day event focused on education, future careers, self-esteem building, and eating etiquette. The event includes a keynote speaker, a luncheon, and a full banquet-catered meal.

2. **Dream It, Be It Program**: This program provides career support for girls aged 14-18, featuring inspiring speakers, tours of medical centers, interactive panels of professionals, giveaways, and lunch.

3. **Live Your Dream Campaign**: This campaign aims to inspire women to live their dreams and encourages them to pass on their good fortune to others. The Live Your Dream Awards support women who are heads of households striving to better their lives through advanced education or vocational training.

4. **Music Award**: Partnering with a local middle school, this program awards a musical instrument to a deserving female student who meets certain criteria.

5. **High School Student College Scholarship Award**: In partnership with the San Bernardino High School Scholarship Program, this award supports outstanding female students who have been active in volunteer programs and maintained a high GPA.

You can participate in or support our programs in several ways:

- **Volunteer**: Belonging to a team creates a feeling of being part of something bigger than YOU. When we work together, we empower each other and can accomplish so much!

- **Donate**: Contribute financially to support our initiatives and help us reach more women and girls.

- **Attend Events**: Participate in our events, such as the WINGS program and the Live Your Dream Awards ceremony.

- **Spread Awareness**: Share our mission and programs with your friends, family, and community to help us reach more people in need.

The "Live Your Dream" Program by Soroptimist International San Bernardino Chapter empowers women who are the primary financial supporters of their families to achieve their educational and career aspirations. Through financial awards, this program provides essential resources for women to overcome obstacles and improve their lives. The support enables recipients to pursue higher education or vocational training, enhancing their ability to secure better employment opportunities. The "Live Your Dream" Program not only fosters personal growth and self-sufficiency but also positively impacts the lives of their families and communities.


This unique online community empowers offline action, helping women and girls to live their dreams. Everyone is invited and best of all, it's FREE and on your terms. When you join the community, you choose your level of involvement and how you'd like to engage in our take action on several extraordinary Soroptimist programs.
